Harbor Networks and ShoreTel Bring the Next Generation of Communications to State Fund Insurance

Steve DiClemente, president of State Fund Insurance, first approached Harbor Networks in June of 2000. He was opening his new insurance agency in Boston and wanted a solid telephone and voice mail system. Harbor installed a Nortel Norstar that fit the bill for 10 years, providing a reliable platform for voice communications.

State Fund runs its business on relationships and customer service. They couldn’t install any phone system. Instead, they relied on a 10-year partnership forged on flexibility, customer response and trust. Then, in 2010, State Fund empowered Harbor Networks to help them transition to a Voice over IP platform featuring a new ShoreTel system.

Harbor Networks introduced ShoreTel’s Office Anywhere feature. This allows State Fund employees working in the Florida location to effectively operate under the same roof as those in the Boston office. That means calls don’t have to be transferred to  cell phones. Clients call into the Boston office and – regardless of where the employee sits – are seamlessly transferred to the needed representative, even if that rep is working from home.

With ShoreTel’s easy to understand administration, State Fund can now manage their own Moves, Adds and Changes in real time.

ShoreTel’s Professional Call Manager also improves presence information so that calls can be routed to any available rep. No more waiting on hold or looking for an available person.
